1Rinse the Dried decorticated fava beans thoroughly and place them in a large bowl. Cover the Dried decorticated fava beans with plenty of cold water and let them soak for at least 12 hours, or overnight.
2After soaking, drain the Dried decorticated fava beans and transfer them to a heavy-bottomed pot. Cover the Dried decorticated fava beans with fresh cold water, ensuring there are about 5 centimeters of water above them. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until the Dried decorticated fava beans are very tender and easily mashable. Skim off any foam that rises to the surface during cooking. Season with a pinch of Fine sea salt towards the end of cooking.
3While the Dried decorticated fava beans are cooking, clean the Wild chicory. Remove any tough outer leaves and trim the root end. Wash the Wild chicory thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt.
