1Lightly crush the green cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves, and black peppercorns using a mortar and pestle. Grate the fresh ginger.
2In a saucepan, combine water, crushed green cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves, black peppercorns, and grated ginger. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
3Once boiling, add the black tea leaves and jaggery. Reduce the heat and simmer for 2 minutes, allowing the spices and tea to infuse.
