1Rehydrate the dried wood ear mushrooms in hot water for 20 minutes until they are fully softened and expanded.
2Drain the rehydrated wood ear mushrooms thoroughly and rinse them under cold water. Trim any tough stems and tear larger pieces into bite-sized portions.
3Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil. Add the wood ear mushrooms and blanch for 2 minutes.
