Clean the Pork leg thoroughly. If not already cut, chop it into large, manageable pieces.

Bring a large pot of Water to a boil. Add the Pork leg pieces and blanch for 10 minutes to remove impurities. Skim off any foam. Drain the Pork leg and rinse under cold water.
