Clean the dried Acanthopanax root thoroughly under running water to remove any soil or impurities.

Soak the cleaned Acanthopanax root in 1000g of water for 24 hours.

Drain the Acanthopanax root, reserving the soaking water. Gently squeeze any remaining liquid from the root and set the root aside.
