1Wash parboiled rice and urad dal separately. Soak them in sufficient water for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
2Drain the soaked parboiled rice and urad dal. Grind them together with a small amount of water to form a smooth, thick batter. Add salt to the batter and mix well. Set aside for 30 minutes.
3For the filling, heat ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add grated coconut and sauté for 2 minutes until slightly fragrant.
