1Wash white rice thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear, then drain.
2In a heavy-bottomed pot, bring 700 grams of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Add salt and 5 grams of ghee to the boiling water.
3Add the washed white rice to the boiling water. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the pot, and cook until the white rice is about 80% cooked and most of the water is absorbed, approximately 10-12 minutes.
