1Rinse the Mung beans thoroughly and soak them in plenty of water for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
2Drain the soaked Mung beans and rinse again. Rub the Mung beans between your hands under running water to remove their skins. Repeat this process until most of the skins are removed. Discard the skins.
3Rinse the Short-grain rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Drain the Short-grain rice.
