1Rinse Idli rice and Urad dal separately until water runs clear. Soak the Idli rice in water for 5-6 hours. Soak the Urad dal along with Fenugreek seeds in water for 3-4 hours.
2Drain the soaked Urad dal and Fenugreek seeds. Grind them into a very smooth, fluffy batter using a wet grinder or high-powered blender, adding minimal water as needed.
3Drain the soaked Idli rice. Grind the Idli rice separately into a slightly coarse batter, adding minimal water as needed.
