1Rinse 80 grams of red beans thoroughly under cold water, then transfer them to a bowl and cover with ample cold water. Allow the red beans to soak for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to soften.
2Rinse 150 grams of millet under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain well. Rinse 50 grams of dried jujubes and set aside.
3Drain the soaked red beans and transfer them to a large pot. Add 1500 grams of fresh cold water. Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer the red beans for 45 minutes, or until they are tender.
