1Place the Flattened rice in a colander and rinse it gently under running water for about 30 seconds, ensuring it is moistened but not soggy. Drain thoroughly and set aside for 5-10 minutes to soften.
2Heat the Vegetable oil in a large pan or kadai over medium heat.
3Add the Mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Then add the Cumin seeds, Chana dal, and Urad dal. Sauté until the dals turn light golden brown.
