1Rinse the Whole chicken pieces thoroughly under cold water. Place the Whole chicken in a large pot, cover with fresh Water, and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes to remove impurities. Drain the Whole chicken and rinse each piece again under cold Water.
2Prepare the Potatoes, Carrots, and Onions by peeling and cutting them into large, bite-sized chunks. Cut the Green onions into 5cm lengths and slice the Cheongyang chili peppers diagonally.
3In a mixing bowl, combine the Gochujang, Gochugaru, Soy sauce, Sugar, minced Garlic, minced Ginger, and Black pepper to create the spicy braising sauce.
