Thoroughly rinse 500 grams of pork intestines under cold running water. Place the pork intestines in a large pot, cover with fresh water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 10 minutes. Drain the water, rinse the pork intestines again, and repeat this boiling and rinsing process two more times to remove impurities and strong odors. Cut the cleaned pork intestines into 3 cm pieces.

Peel and cut 300 grams of daikon radish into 2 cm thick half-moon slices. Peel and cut 150 grams of carrot into similar 2 cm thick half-moon slices. Cut 200 grams of konnyaku into bite-sized pieces and score one side with a knife to help it absorb flavor.
