1Wash and halve the guavas. In a medium saucepan, combine the guavas with 500 grams of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the guavas are very soft.
2Carefully transfer the cooked guavas and their cooking liquid to a blender. Blend until completely smooth.
3Strain the guava puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean bowl, pressing down on the solids to extract all the liquid. Discard any remaining seeds and pulp.
