Wash 180 grams of Toor dal thoroughly under running water. Soak the Toor dal in 300 ml of Water for 20 minutes.

After soaking, drain the Toor dal. In a pressure cooker, combine the drained Toor dal with 400 ml of fresh Water, 250 grams of chopped Fresh spinach, and 2 grams of Turmeric powder.

Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or until the Toor dal is soft and mushy. Allow the pressure to release naturally. Once cooked, mash the dal lightly with a spoon or whisk.
