1Rinse Basmati rice and Moong dal together thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear. Soak them in 500g of fresh water for 20 minutes.
2Heat Ghee in a pressure cooker or a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat.
3Add Cumin seeds and allow them to splutter. Then add Asafoetida and sauté for a few seconds.
