Wash the Moong dal thoroughly and soak it in sufficient water for at least 4-5 hours or overnight.

Drain the soaked Moong dal completely and transfer it to a grinding jar. Add the Ginger, Green chili, Fresh cilantro, Cumin seeds, Asafoetida, Turmeric powder, and Salt.

Add 100 grams of Water and grind to a smooth batter. Add the remaining Water gradually if needed to achieve a pourable, dosa-like consistency. Transfer the batter to a bowl.
