1Dry roast the Sona Moong Dal in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat until it turns light golden and aromatic, about 5-7 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
2Wash the roasted Sona Moong Dal thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear.
3Combine the washed Sona Moong Dal, 800g Water, 2g Turmeric powder, and 5g Salt in a pressure cooker. Cook for 2-3 whistles or until the dal is soft but still holds its shape. Let the pressure release naturally.
