1In a heavy-bottomed pan, bring 300 grams of Water and 1 gram of Salt to a rolling boil.
2Gradually add 250 grams of Rice flour to the boiling water, stirring continuously to prevent lumps. Mix until a soft dough forms. Cover and let it rest for 5 minutes.
3Once the dough is cool enough to handle, knead it well on a clean surface until smooth. Take small portions of the dough and roll them into thin, finger-like strands or tiny oval shapes (thalikalu). Set them aside on a plate dusted with a little dry rice flour to prevent sticking.
