1Clean the Banana flower by removing the outer maroon bracts and the tiny florets within. Discard the hard pistil and calyx from each floret. Finely chop the cleaned Banana flower and immerse it in water mixed with a pinch of Salt and Turmeric powder to prevent discoloration and remove bitterness. Let it soak for 15 minutes, then drain thoroughly and squeeze out excess water.
2Soak Chana dal in water for at least 2 hours, or until softened. Drain the soaked Chana dal completely.
3In a grinder, combine the drained Chana dal, Ginger, and Green chili. Grind to a coarse paste without adding water, or with minimal water if absolutely necessary, ensuring it remains thick.
