1Prepare the fish marinade by combining 5g turmeric powder, 10g red chili powder, black pepper powder, 5g salt, and lemon juice in a bowl. Mix well to form a paste.
2Rub the marinade thoroughly over the Kingfish steaks, ensuring it gets into the scores. Let the fish marinate for at least 30 minutes.
3Heat 15g coconut oil in a tawa or shallow pan over medium heat. Gently shallow-fry the marinated Kingfish steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side, just until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
