11. Rinse the Chana Dal thoroughly and soak it in 500 grams of water for at least 2 hours.
22. Drain the soaked Chana Dal. Transfer it to a pressure cooker with 500 grams of fresh Water and 1 gram of Turmeric powder. Cook for 3-4 whistles or until the Chana Dal is tender but still holds its shape. Set aside.
33. Heat the Ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan or kadai over medium heat.
