1Clean the Dried Ancho chile, Dried Guajillo chile, and Dried Arbol chile by removing their stems and seeds.
2Heat a dry comal or skillet over medium heat. Toast the cleaned Dried Ancho chile, Dried Guajillo chile, and Dried Arbol chile for 30 seconds per side until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.
3Place the toasted Dried Ancho chile, Dried Guajillo chile, and Dried Arbol chile in a heatproof bowl and cover with boiling water. Let them soak for 20 minutes until completely softened. Drain the chiles.
