1To prepare the filling, combine fresh grated coconut, date palm jaggery, and 50 grams of the milk in a heavy-bottomed pan.
2Cook the filling mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously, until the date palm jaggery melts and the mixture thickens, leaving the sides of the pan. This process is similar to making a 'narkel sandesh' or coconut fudge.
3Stir in cardamom powder and mix well. Remove the filling from heat and let it cool completely.
