1Wash and peel the Potato. Slice the Potato into thin, even rounds, about 2-3 mm thick. Other vegetables like eggplant or onion can also be sliced or chopped similarly.
2In a large mixing bowl, combine Besan, Rice flour, Turmeric powder, Red chili powder, Cumin powder, Asafoetida, Baking soda, and Salt.
3Gradually add Water to the dry ingredients, whisking continuously to form a smooth, thick batter without lumps. The batter should be thick enough to coat the Potato slices evenly.
