1Wash the Short-grain rice thoroughly under cold running water until the water runs clear. Place the washed Short-grain rice in a bowl, add enough water to cover by about 2.5 cm, and let it soak for 30 minutes. Drain the Short-grain rice completely.
2Peel the Potatoes and cut them into 1.5 cm cubes.
3In a medium-sized heavy-bottomed pot with a tight-fitting lid, combine the drained Short-grain rice, diced Potatoes, 360g Water, and 3g Salt.
