1If using fresh Huitlacoche, gently clean it by removing any corn silk or tough husks, then roughly chop it.
2Heat the Lard in a large skillet or comal over medium heat. Add the White onion and cook until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
3Add the Garlic and Serrano chile to the skillet and cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
