1Rinse the Glutinous rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the Glutinous rice in cold water for at least 3 hours, or preferably overnight. Drain the soaked Glutinous rice very well before proceeding.
2Prepare the Jujubes by removing their seeds and slicing the flesh into thin strips. Peel the Chestnuts and slice them into thin pieces.
3Place the drained Glutinous rice in a steamer basket lined with a damp cloth. Steam the Glutinous rice for 30 minutes over high heat until it is partially cooked.
