1Wash Basmati rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2Heat Oil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add thinly sliced Onions and fry until deep golden brown and crispy. This is called birista. Drain the fried Onions on paper towels and set aside, reserving a small amount for garnish.
3In a small bowl, soak Saffron strands in warm Milk. Add Rose water and Kewra water to this mixture and set aside.
