Cut beef chuck into 4cm cubes.
Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Sear beef chuck on all sides until well browned. Remove beef and set aside.
Add sliced onion, minced fresh garlic, and grated fresh ginger to the same pot. Sauté until onion is softened and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
