1Wash the sweet pumpkin thoroughly. Carefully peel the skin, then cut the sweet pumpkin in half and scoop out all the seeds and fibrous parts. Cut the cleaned sweet pumpkin flesh into 3-4 cm chunks.
2Place the sweet pumpkin chunks into a large pot and add 1000g of Water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until the sweet pumpkin is very tender, about 15-20 minutes.
3Once the sweet pumpkin is tender, remove from heat. Using a potato masher or a large spoon, mash the sweet pumpkin directly in the pot until it forms a smooth or slightly chunky puree, depending on desired texture.
