1Wash short-grain glutinous rice and short-grain white rice separately until water runs clear. Combine them and soak in cold water for at least 2 hours.
2Rehydrate dried shiitake mushrooms in warm water for 30 minutes until softened. Reserve the mushroom soaking water. Slice the rehydrated shiitake mushrooms thinly.
3Blanch ginkgo nuts in boiling water for 1 minute, then peel off their thin skins.
