1Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a 20cm springform pan or a loaf pan with parchment paper on the bottom and sides, or grease and flour thoroughly. For traditional Baumkuchen, a rotating spit is used, but for home baking, a pan is suitable.
2Sift together the Cake flour, Cornstarch, 15g Matcha powder, Baking powder, and Salt into a bowl. Set aside.
3In a large bowl, cream the Butter and Granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
