1Soak the dried white fungus in cold water for at least 30 minutes until softened. Once soft, trim off any hard yellow parts at the base and tear it into smaller, bite-sized pieces.
2Rinse the pork ribs thoroughly. Place the pork ribs in a pot of cold water, bring to a boil, and blanch for 5 minutes to remove impurities. Skim off any foam, then drain and rinse the pork ribs under cold water.
3Peel the green papaya, halve it lengthwise, scoop out the seeds and fibrous parts, then cut the green papaya into large chunks.
