1Grease a baking tray or a flat plate with a little ghee and keep it ready.
2In a heavy-bottomed pan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium flame, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
3Continue to boil the sugar syrup until it reaches a one-string consistency. To check, take a drop between your thumb and forefinger; when you pull them apart, a single string should form.
