1Rinse the Moong Dal thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear. Soak the Moong Dal in 500 grams of Water for 20 minutes.
2Drain the soaked Moong Dal and transfer it to a pressure cooker. Add 500 grams of Water, 1 gram of Turmeric powder, and 4 grams of Salt. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or until the Moong Dal is soft and mushy.
3Once the pressure is released, mash the cooked Moong Dal lightly with a spoon or whisk to achieve a smooth consistency. Set aside.
