1Wash 200 grams of Toor dal thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear. Soak the washed Toor dal in 400 grams of fresh Water for 30 minutes.
2Drain the soaked Toor dal and transfer it to a pressure cooker. Add 800 grams of fresh Water, 3 grams of Turmeric powder, 4 grams of Salt, and 10 grams of crushed Garlic cloves.
3Close the pressure cooker and cook for 4-5 whistles on medium heat, or until the Toor dal is soft and well-cooked. Once cooked, let the pressure release naturally. Mash the cooked Toor dal lightly with a whisk or spoon for a creamy consistency.
