1Wash and soak the Yellow Moong Dal in 500 grams of water for at least 30 minutes. Drain the water completely.
2Heat Ghee in a heavy-bottomed earthen pot (handi) or a thick-bottomed pan over medium heat.
3Add Cumin Seeds and allow them to splutter. Then add Asafoetida and sauté for a few seconds.
