1Lightly crush the Fresh ginger and Green cardamom pods using a mortar and pestle or the back of a knife to release their aromas.
2In a small saucepan, combine the Water, crushed Fresh ginger, and crushed Green cardamom pods. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium heat.
3Once boiling, add the Assam black tea leaves to the saucepan. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1-2 minutes, allowing the tea to steep.
