1Shell the shrimp, leaving the tails on. Split lengthwise up to the last link of the tail, and scrape out any black veins. Feel each scallop, and if there is a small, hard muscle, trim it away.
2Marinate the shrimp and scallops in the olive oil, thyme, garlic, salt, and pepper for 2 to 3 hours.
3Preheat the oven to 450°.
