1Rinse 200g of toor dal thoroughly and place it in a pressure cooker with 800g of water and 3g of turmeric powder.
2Cook the dal under pressure for 3 to 4 whistles until soft, then mash it lightly and stir in 8g of salt and 10g of tamarind.
3Heat 20g of ghee in a small pan over medium heat until shimmering.
