Wash Basmati rice thoroughly and soak in water for 20 minutes. Drain and cook the Basmati rice with 400ml of water until fluffy and grains are separate. Set aside.

To prepare the Vangi Bath powder, dry roast Chana dal, Urad dal, Dried red chilies, Coriander seeds, Cumin seeds, Fenugreek seeds, Cloves, and Cinnamon stick in a dry pan over medium heat until fragrant and lightly browned. Allow to cool completely.

Grind the roasted spices into a fine powder using a spice grinder. Set aside the Vangi Bath powder.
