1Wash Chana dal thoroughly and soak it in fresh Water for at least 30 minutes.
2Drain the soaked Chana dal and pressure cook it with 600 grams of Water until it is very soft and easily mashable, typically for 4-5 whistles.
3Once cooked, drain any excess Water from the Chana dal. Mash the cooked Chana dal thoroughly using a potato masher or a traditional puran maker.
