1Soak poppy seeds and raw rice in 100 grams of hot water for at least 30 minutes.
2Drain the soaked poppy seeds and raw rice. Combine them with fresh grated coconut and 50 grams of water. Grind to a very fine, smooth paste.
3In a separate heavy-bottomed pan, combine jaggery with 50 grams of water. Heat gently until the jaggery dissolves completely. Strain the jaggery syrup to remove any impurities and set aside.
