1Thoroughly clean the pig's ear, removing any hairs. Place the pig's ear in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 hours, or until the pig's ear is very tender. Drain and let cool completely.
2Once cooled, slice the boiled pig's ear into very thin strips, approximately 2-3mm thick.
3Rehydrate the dried wakame by soaking it in cold water for 5-10 minutes. Drain well and gently squeeze out any excess water. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
