Wash the Cucumber thoroughly. Slice the Cucumber into thin rounds or half-moons, approximately 2-3mm thick.

Place the sliced Cucumber in a bowl and sprinkle with Salt. Gently massage the Salt into the Cucumber slices for about 1 minute.

Place a plate directly on top of the salted Cucumber, then place a weight (such as a can or a bowl filled with water) on the plate to press the Cucumber. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes to draw out excess water.
