1Rinse Black Urad Dal and Chana Dal thoroughly. Soak both dals in 700g water for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight. Drain the soaking water.
2Combine the soaked Black Urad Dal and Chana Dal in a pressure cooker with 800g fresh Water, 5g Salt, and 2g Turmeric Powder. Cook for 5-6 whistles on medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Allow pressure to release naturally.
3While dals are cooking, finely chop Onion, Tomato, and Green Chili.
