1Clean the Shiitake mushrooms and King Oyster mushrooms with a damp cloth. Slice the Shiitake mushrooms into 0.5 cm thick pieces. Slice the King Oyster mushrooms lengthwise into 0.5 cm thick pieces.
2In a bowl, combine the sliced Shiitake mushrooms and King Oyster mushrooms with soy sauce, minced garlic, toasted sesame oil, and black pepper powder. Toss gently to coat and let marinate for 10 minutes.
3In a separate large bowl, whisk together all-purpose wheat flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and fine sea salt.
