1Rinse the Idli Rice thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear. Soak the rinsed Idli Rice in a large bowl with enough water to cover it by several inches for at least 4-6 hours.
2In a separate bowl, rinse the Urad Dal and Fenugreek Seeds together. Soak them in enough water to cover by several inches for at least 4-6 hours.
3After soaking, drain the Urad Dal and Fenugreek Seeds. Grind them in a wet grinder or high-speed blender, adding small amounts of fresh cold water as needed, until a very smooth and fluffy batter is formed. The batter should be light and airy.
