In a large bowl, combine Gram flour, 50g Yogurt, 30g Ghee, Carom seeds, 2g Turmeric powder, 2g Red chili powder, 5g Salt, and 1g Asafoetida. Knead into a firm dough, adding minimal water if necessary to achieve a smooth consistency.

Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a cylindrical shape, approximately 1.5 cm thick and 10 cm long.

Bring a large pot of Water to a rolling boil. Gently drop the formed gatte cylinders into the boiling Water. Cook for 10-12 minutes until they float to the surface and small bubbles appear on their exterior, indicating they are cooked through.
